We both say “the best vacation we have ever had, by far!” We had been saving for this trip for years and were beginning to think it wouldn’t be possible, given my health. Exploring this dream/bucket list trip with Eleni was so fun and exciting! Eleni brings to the table a wealth of travel knowledge, contagious enthusiasm and completely understands the nuances and requirements involved while travelling disabled. She went to great lengths to find comfortable, affordable flights and airport transfers, while sourcing out amazing hotels in the best locations. Options were provided with detailed pros and cons. Tour suggestions presented in detail once vetted for accessibility. James1 October 2025We recently returned from the most unforgettable two-week journey through Northern Italy, all thanks to Julian at Now Boarding Travel. From the moment we landed in Venice to our final relaxing days at Lake Como, every detail was flawlessly executed — and we couldn’t be more grateful. Our trip began in Venice, where Julian booked us into the stunning Ca’ Maria Adele. What a gem! This boutique hotel was the epitome of Venetian charm — quaint, classic, and perfectly located in the heart of the city. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the richly decorated rooms to the amazing breakfast served on a silver tray right to our bed each morning. We felt transported back in time, wrapped in elegance and comfort. The private water transfer from the airport to the hotel was straight out of a movie — arriving by boat directly to the hotel’s dock made us feel so incredibly special. To top it off, we were greeted with a handwritten note from Julian and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in our room. It was a perfect welcome. Next, we traveled to Portovenere, where we stayed at the gorgeous Grand Hotel Portovenere. Once again, Julian had everything perfectly arranged — from the timing of our train to the seamless private transfer straight to the hotel. The logistics were flawless. The hotel itself was stunning, offering breathtaking views of the harbor and village, both by day and night. It was the ideal home base for exploring the Cinque Terre and the Ligurian coast, and we were constantly amazed at how smoothly everything went. Our final stop was Lake Como, where we stayed at the Filario Hotel — a modern, luxurious retreat right on the water. This was the perfect ending to our trip. We spent our days relaxing by the infinity pool, swimming in the lake, and soaking in the views. The hotel was peaceful and elegant, offering a more contemporary vibe while still feeling intimate and exclusive. Julian truly thought of everything. From start to finish, every part of this trip felt personalized and meticulously planned. He was incredibly accommodating with all our requests — including helping us add a second couple to join us on the adventure, and ensuring all of our preferences were met with grace and ease. We are able to figure out good itineraries together, he always has good options of places to stay ,and always returns my emails very quickly. When my traveling partner’s flight was delayed by ice so she missed the flight to Toronto where we were meeting to fly to Buenos Aires, he had her re-routed, set up in a hotel and a driver waiting for her the next day, all within half an hour. It takes a lot of the pressure off traveling, knowing there is someone there that you can phone to sort out any problems. I would highly recommend both Zale and Megan from Now Boarding Travel.

I really liked that he had personal travel experience at some of the resorts being recommended and yet still had lots of feedback on others from other clients he has helped. This was really helpful as we were newbies to staying at a resort but we were able to select a good one based on what he advised and also additional information he was able to send on each one being considered. Tara16 January 2025I contacted Megan Vonhone regarding flights for a big trip I was planning for myself and my Mum to go from New Brunswick in Canada to Bali. I looked into the flights myself and was overwhelmed with the cost and logistics involved. Megan took over and made what started as a very daunting task so simple and easy for me it became a joy to plan. From finding the best flights at the best price to helping choose and book seat selections (it gets tricky with multiple airlines involved!). We also then talked about hotels and I realised we got better rates and benefits than if I booked directly. We also got an almost immediate upgrade to our room. Here’s an example: my husband and I were set to book our flight to Phuket, Thailand on Emirates Airlines Business Class. When speaking to Zale, he suggested we book with Turkish Air business Class and we’d cut the 22 hour flight into two 11 hour flights with a stop in Istanbul with four Free nights in a four star hotel for free. It was fantastic. We saw everything we wanted to see in Istanbul and enjoyed an over the top Business Class experience 😊

I have found Zale to be extremely prompt in his email correspondence, accommodating with regards to changes, and adept at securing competitive pricing. During my time in Thailand, I was required to make changes to my flights and accommodations. However, contacting Zale via email proved to be a simple and stress-free process, as he immediately assumed responsibility for resolving the matter. Overall, I have been thoroughly impressed with Zale's exceptional level of service, and his ability to ease the burden of travel arrangements in a professional and efficient manner.

I travel a lot to the Middle East and Southeast Asia and it can be difficult to sort through all the flight info to find the one that works the best, but is still reasonable in cost. I would spend an entire afternoon trying to figure it out. That is why I use Zale. He is always responsive and promptly comes through with great flights. I highly recommend his services.

It is always comforting to know I have someone I can call when there is a problem. Zale is a knowledgeable source in finding tours, flights, hotels, insurance, etc that fit your needs for the trip you are wanting to take. But beyond that knowledgeable source, he is there for you throughout your trip to help you with the things that may go wrong during your travels. Denisr9 January 2024I was referred to Now Boarding by the travel agency I used for an upcoming trip. From the get go, Zale was professional and never pressured me into anything. I was looking for return flights to Equador in Business Class... Zale found me the best deal ever. Granted I have to leave from Montreal instead of Ottawa, but I'll be flying business class at 2/3 the cost of premier economy from Ottawa. In my view, well worth the drive. I wouldn't hesitate using him again.

I consider myself an experienced traveler (after my next trip that we just booked together, I will have hit all 7 continents this year) and had questions about the value-add of a travel agent until I worked with Megan. She has helped ensure we get locked in for the best prices, helped book options that only a travel agent can do, and saved copious amounts of time confirming that there really isn't a cheaper or better routing for a flight as complicated as Montana to a small town in southernmost Argentina. She is also quick, responsive, and fun to work with! After both my Antarctica and Australia travel planning experiences, I may finally understand that my starting point could be asking Megan for her services to save myself hours of work coming to the same conclusion on the best hotel or flight itinerary!
